Health Applications Section

Welcome to the Health Applications Section of INFORMS. The goals of the section are

to identify current and potential research questions concerned with operations research and health care applications,
to disseminate solutions to the above questions, and
to advance the basic and applied research technologies of health care applications.

We have approximatly 250 members and sponsor the Journal of Health Care Management Science (HCMS). We annually present

the Pierskalla Award for the best paper in Operations Research and Health Care Applications, and
the Bonder Scholarship for Applied Operations Research in Health Services .

Any questions about the Health Applications Section should be directed to our current president. Procedural questions may be answered by reading our bylaws.
