A study of the arithmetic properties of the ring of integers. Topics may include
factorization, modular arithmetic, solution of polynomial congruences, the law of quadratic
reciprocity, Diophantine equations, and applications to cryptography. Fall, alternate years.
Prerequisite: Math 3326 or consent of instructor.
