3351 Numerical Analysis I Methods of solution of algebraic and transcendental
equation, simultaneous linear algebraic equation, numerical integration and differentiation,
initial and boundary value problems of ordinary differential equations. (Also listed as CSCI
3351.) Spring. Prerequisites: MATH 3336 or 3366 and knowledge of computer programming.
3352 Numerical Analysis II Direct and iterative solution of linear systems of
equations, approximation theory, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, solution of non-linear systems
of equations, boundary value problems for ordinary differential equation, numerical solutions
of partial differential equations. Irregular. Prerequisite: MATH 3351.
